The InBetweens …

It has been some time since my last blog. Somehow life got in the way, as it tends to do, but I have some very exciting news that I want to share with you.

But first things first — a little update on my current journey.

I finished my phototherapy treatment in June and have been in remission since. This doesn't necessarily mean I'm out of the woods, of course. One of the difficult things about living with autoimmunity is the uncertainty — not knowing how long remission will last or what might contribute to another flare.

But I also think celebrating the times in between is important, so that is exactly what I've been doing this summer.

In the meantime, I'm continuing to follow up closely with my doctors and, as we approach another change in season, we'll keep monitoring things and taking them one step at a time.

What does my life look like right now?

My focus right now is quite simple: looking after myself in a way that feels sustainable.

For me, that means plenty of movement, nutritious food, making time for the things I enjoy and trying to maintain a healthy work-life balance — which, I'll be honest, is probably the part I find hardest to stick to!

And that brings me to my news...

Having graduated from the University of Buckingham with a PGD in Clinical Nutrition, I'm now about to begin my studies in Personalised Nutrition as I work towards becoming a registered Nutritional Therapist.

So, what does that mean?

My dream has always been to eventually help people who are struggling with their health through personalised nutrition and lifestyle support.

This next stage of my studies will take me deeper into areas such as Systems Biology, Pathophysiological Reasoning, Functional Nutrition and Psychoneuroimmunology — looking at the body and its systems in a much more interconnected way.

It feels like a very exciting next step towards becoming registered and, eventually, being able to support individuals through their own health journeys.

And I want to bring you along for mine.

Over the coming months, I'll be sharing some of what I'm learning, the topics that send me down interesting rabbit holes, how I'm implementing what I learn into everyday life, and some practical nutrition, movement and lifestyle ideas along the way.

And of course... I'm also kicking off a supportive cooking and meal-prep routine as I prepare for what are going to be some very busy months ahead.

I'll be sharing plenty of that too — both here and over on Instagram at Nourished by Nai.

So follow along, and if there's anything you're particularly interested in or would like me to explore as I go through my studies, drop me a DM. I'd love to hear what you're curious about.

Here's to the last few weeks of summer <3

Enjoy the sunny days and speak soon.

Much love,

Nai
